Megan Jaw, MA, LPCC
Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate
Welcome and I’m so glad you are here! I believe that life’s circumstances can be overwhelming at times, and everyone can benefit from counseling during difficult seasons. I am genuinely interested and curious about people and the stories they have to tell. As a counselor, I enjoy helping clients develop their own sense of curiosity about themselves to increase self-awareness and foster personal growth.
My counseling style is soft, compassionate, empathetic, and caring with poignant and challenging observations when needed. I enjoy sharing a space where my clients can feel seen and cared for to help them reach their goals in life. I operate in a CBT model with trauma informed and attachment style interventions to help clients understand themselves and the world around them. I love using creative interventions such as art, literature, play and mindfulness to unlock new possibilities in growth and healing.
I was born in Colorado and raised in many places as the child of military parents. I returned home to Colorado 20 years ago and consider it my permanent home. On a personal note, I enjoy reading fiction and memoirs, physical activity and spending time with my loved ones. I enjoy sharing creative spaces with likeminded individuals involving art and mindfulness.
