Medication Management
These services are only offered in Colorado at this time.
Medication Management Currently Only Being Offered to clients ages 11+
Medication management is not necessary for everyone; however, some people find much success with medication. Whether a client needs medication short-term or long-term, we are here to support. During your process, we will take a deep look into your current circumstances and create a personalized program for you. Medication management for mental health conditions is much different than medication management for medical conditions. It is important that clients follow all dosages and instructions specific to the medication. Your body may need time to adjust to medication and require monitoring. While it is important for you to work with a qualified and experienced provider, it is also important to work with a provider who takes their time, listens to you, and is dedicated to ensuring successful execution of a management program.
Pros and cons of using psychiatric medications include:
Pros
Can increase chance of recovery
Can alleviate symptoms
Can provide relief and support the client in conducing and engaging in normal activities
Cons
Can be dangerous if not taken as prescribed
Negative side effects may occur
Requires medication management to ensure effectiveness
