Madeleine Stinton, MA
Master in Counseling Intern
Therapy helps access inner strengths and provide the skills that are needed to tackle every day problems. Working together we can identify your strengths and how to use them to reach your goals. We will work to find what tools will be most effective when facing stressful or distressing situations. By considering how thoughts and emotions affect actions, and implementing steps to change those patterns, problems can be addressed.
I have worked with families and children in the non-profit sector for the last decade. Working with families to maintain a healthy and happy household led me to want to work with individuals to help them find the best ways to improve their mindset. I believe in meeting people where they are at with empathy and acceptance. I have a specific interest in working with teens and young adults. I enjoy working with couples and families, as well.
In my free time, my son and dog keep me busy. I am awed by how quickly my son learns. He is also a great model of what unconditional love looks like. I also enjoy lifting weights and staying active. I am currently earning my second master’s degree to become a clinical mental health counselor and I look forward to working alongside of you.
Works with: Individuals 6+, Couples & Families
Professional Education
Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling- In Progress
Master of Arts in Sociology w/con in Research and Teaching
