Counseling is a great resource to help access inner strengths and provide the skills that are needed to tackle every day problems. I use a strengths based approach that facilitates working together so we can identify your strengths and how to use them to reach your goals. I also use cognitive-behavioral techniques to assist you in better understanding how thoughts and emotions affect actions, and how implementing steps to change those patterns, problems can be addressed. Using a collaborative approach we will work to find what tools are most effective when facing stressful or distressing situations.
I have worked with families and children in the non-profit sector for the last decade. Working with families to maintain a healthy and happy household led me to want to work with individuals to help them find the best ways to improve their mindset. I believe in meeting people where they are at with empathy and acceptance. In my free time, my son and dog keep me busy. I am an avid reader, and I love staying active. I look forward to working alongside you!
