I found healing to be essential to loving myself and loving life. We all go through tough times, but through the power of love we can do anything. Healing comes in all forms, but it is up to us to navigate through our heart and minds to find peace and comfort. Pursuing therapy doesn’t mean you’re weak or less than, actually quite the opposite. It takes strength and power to confront your emotions and patterns of behavior in an effort to change them. Therapy provides various avenues for different individuals to find various approaches that will help positively change their lives. It helps connect our spirit, mind, and body to become balanced. Through connection and balance, we have the opportunity to shine our own lights, finding strength to grow. There is success, happiness, and peace in shining your light through shadows. There is always hope, it is never hopeless.
My approach in therapy is to reach individuals with empathy, kindness, respect, gentleness, understanding and compassion. I believe that through healing in helping one’s self, there comes self-love and a new kind of strength that will help endure struggles later in life. Through therapy, you are given opportunities and different paths that will help navigate emotions, thoughts and experiences in a more positive and fulfilling manner.
A little about me, I grew up on the Navajo reservation where I was raised traditionally by both my parents and grandparents. I moved away to the city to seek an education, in hopes of bringing the experience and knowledge I’ve gained back to my people. I recently moved to Colorado from Florida as part of my spouse’s military career and have been enjoying the serene views of mountains, trees and being able to see the stars at night! In my free time, I enjoy reading books from romance, mysteries, and adventures paired with music from Taylor Swift to Fleetwood Mac; I find comfort in books and music. I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with family when I travel back to the reservation.
“You have the power to heal your life, and you need to know that. We think so often that we are helpless, but we're not. We always have the power of our minds… claim and consciously use your power.”
