Hi there, I am so glad you are here! I acknowledge that finding a therapist can feel like an overwhelming task, and therapy itself can feel intimidating. My desire is to offer you a safe space where you can begin your journey towards growth and where you feel comfortable navigating the big emotions that life can bring up. I bring a warm, compassionate and caring presence into the therapy room. Over time, I enjoy creating a space that promotes curiosity - a space where we can challenge ways of thinking, dig deep into the root of your experience or explore different ways of viewing a situation. T
I have clinical experience working in both residential and acute care settings, as well as the school based setting working alongside of youth on the spectrum. I currently work with a diverse range of individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, anger, family conflict and general life stressors. I use techniques derived from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I enjoy incorporating mindfulness and self-compassion practices throughout my work with clients.
A bit about me: I grew up in upstate New York and spent most of my life there until my husband’s military career took us to Georgia and then here to Colorado Springs. This is our second time in Colorado Springs and we cannot complain! We have two cats and enjoy spending our time taking day trips to mountain towns and trying new food. On my own time, I enjoy reading, cooking, and learning about all things mental health. I can’t wait to get to know you and to learn how I can best support you. Here’s to getting curious about growing and healing!
