"Healing is an art. It takes time, it takes practice, it takes love." – Maza Dohta.
This quote above speaks to the complexity of healing; whether physical, emotional, or mental. It is not a quick or straightforward process—it requires patience, persistence, and compassion. I deeply resonate with the idea that healing is an art. It requires time, practice, and love. I approach my work with the understanding that emotional healing and personal growth are journeys, not destinations, and they unfold through patience and dedication.
I define a "good clinician" as one that creates a space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and understood. Exhibiting the abilities and desire to actively listen, show empathy without judgment, and acknowledge that each person’s experience is unique. These are some of the qualities I strive to embody in my own journey. Inspired by the idea that true healing is a process nurtured with care, patience, and understanding, I am committed to making a meaningful impact on the wellbeing of those I serve.
A little about me—I am originally from Cape Town, South Africa, and I’ve been living in the United States permanently since 2021 (people always notice my accent!). I am married, with two fur-babies and I adore my family. Writing, playing board games, walking my dogs, jogging, playing the piano, taking the occasional nap, and watching sitcoms, are just some of the other things I enjoy!
