At Barber Family Counseling & Wellness, we have an approach to supervision that provides the student access to a breadth of clients as well as clinical supervision styles and techniques.
Our students receive triadic supervision once per week, group supervision once per month and bi-weekly team consultation meetings. We prepare our students for independent work as a therapist/counselor equipping them with the confidence and skills necessary to practice ethically and soundly. We also work with the student on areas of growth, anxieties that may exist, coping skills and how to establish an early start in the area of work/life balance and caring for themselves in the process; establishing self-care methods early in their careers. Our program is focused on teaching the student application of counseling while empowering them to develop a trust in themselves as a new clinician.
