Dorsheka "Sheka" Lopez MA
Master in Counseling Intern
It is my belief that life experiences have a significant impression on our personal health and overall wellbeing. They and should be handled with the utmost of care. As children, we thrive when the environment is nurturing and empathetic. While still encouraging us to explore and navigate through difficult obstacles. I am here to guide my clients through these times, while helping to establish an atmosphere where unconditional positive regard is given freely. It is what I cherish most about the therapeutic healing process.
A little about me personally, I grew up traveling the world with my parents and four sisters. I moved to Colorado in 2017 and I love it so far. From a young age I knew I wanted to help others but I was not sure how. That was the question I strived to answer for many years until I was introduced to the world of psychology. I have been a registered behavior technician since 2017 now and have found my passion in working with those who require help but do not know what steps to take to achieve their goals. In my free time I enjoy losing myself in a good book, taking walks with one of my three dogs, spending time with my family, or simply trying something that I have never done before.
I strive to support my clients in learning ways to overcome all that life throws their way and I eagerly await experiencing this journey alongside you!
