Feeling stressed, depressed, anxious, or lost? Is the pain from your past pervading your current choices and relationships? Do you look at your life and think you should be happy, but don’t feel satisfied? You are not alone.
Therapy is a judgment-free, confidential space to be open about your concerns when it comes to who you are and what you want out of life. My goal is to join you on this authentic journey of self-discovery and recovery. You have the power to change your life. In therapy, healing occurs so you can put down new roots and grow. All are welcome. Bring the whole of who you are, your cultural background and your beliefs into the room with you.
A bit about me: I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the College of William and Mary and I have a Ph.D. in English from the University of Southern California. I believe in the power of rewriting the stories we tell ourselves about who we are and who we will become. I also believe in the healing power of nature for complete mind-body-spirit wellness. My approach is person-centered. I adapt to the individual I am counseling; I incorporate elements from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Mindfulness, Narrative and Art Therapies, and Play Therapy.
