Mary Wilson, MBA
Master in Counseling Intern
Counseling can be scary and leave you feeling vulnerable, but the outcome is immeasurable. The
more you talk about your issues the more you learn about yourself and how to practice new
coping skills to help you lead a beautiful and regulated life.
When choosing a therapist, it’s important to feel connected to someone who understands what
you are going through. It wasn’t until I faced my own personal trauma and grief, that I realized
the importance of good mental health and coping skills. I am currently practicing and studying
more progressive treatments for trauma. Some of my holistic and integrative approaches include
investigating behavioral therapy, exposure therapy (EP), and humanistic therapy approaches.
I have a specific interest in helping veterans, law enforcement officers, and those navigating life
transitions and survivors of trauma or traumatic experiences. I understand the sensitive nature
and command hierarchy that first responders, law enforcement professionals, and the military
struggle against when seeking understanding and control over their own negative patterns after
facing repeated traumas.
