Kiara Lassiter, MSW, SWC
Clinical Social Worker Candidate
I often hear that people feel unsure about what to expect from therapy. My goal is to help you feel comfortable getting uncomfortable. One of the most vulnerable and important steps you can take is being open to change. Whether we are working on setting boundaries, exploring your values, learning to communicate your needs, or processing trauma, I am here to support you.
My background began in inpatient mental health as a Recreational Therapist before I pursued my Master's in Social Work. I have also received specialized training in EMDR, a modality I have found incredibly effective both from personal experience and in seeing the change it sparks in my clients. I am passionate about creating a safe space where you can explore who you are while also challenging yourself to dive deeper.
On a personal note, I grew up in North Carolina and later moved to Colorado Springs after getting married. In my free time, you will likely find me practicing Pilates, snuggled up with my cats watching my latest comfort show, or cheering on my favorite hockey teams. I also love spending time with my spouse and friends whether playing board games, reading a great book, or enjoying my new favorite hobby, embroidery.
