Katherine Duffy, BA
Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern
I am so glad you’ve found your way here as you begin or continue your journey towards healing, growth, and overall well-being. It’s important to me that you feel supported and understood throughout this process. My goal is to work alongside you to foster a therapeutic relationship built on trust and compassion. In our work together, I hope to create a safe space where you can explore your strengths, address your concerns, and set meaningful goals. Whether you’re seeking clarity or simply need someone to listen, I am here to help you navigate your path toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
My approach to counseling is integrative and person-centered, which means I draw from a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to your individual needs. I believe in the power of collaboration between client and therapist in finding solutions that feel right for you. In addition to person-centered therapy, I am learning to incorporate elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), feminist, existentialist, and solution-focused strategies. These modalities offer a blend of practical tools, deep self-exploration, acceptance, and focus on creating positive change directed by you. I am committed to growing as a mental health professional and adapting to your evolving needs with empathy and respect.
I am originally from the Midwest and have fallen in love with the outdoor lifestyle in and around Colorado Springs. I enjoy hiking with my two dogs, trying new coffee shops, and appreciating the beauty of Colorado Springs. Staying active is important to me and part of how I try to balance my life. I enjoy weightlifting and practicing yoga. These activities allow me to stay connected to myself, and promote my well-being. I personally and professionally value self-care. Growth can be uncomfortable, and I hope to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported.
