Chris Estep, PsyD, LP
Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Clinician Supervisor

My name is Dr. Estep and I am a licensed psychologist. I have been involved in the mental health field for over 20 years, working with children and families, community mental health, inpatient psychiatric care, health psychology, correctional psychology and providing clinical, forensic and neuropsychological evaluations. I primarily focus my work on psychological testing and assessments, from a variety of service needs, such as personality, bariatric, parenting care, dementia and traumatic brain injury, addictions, and cognitive concerns.

I have always been one who wants to absorb as much of life as I can experience. About four years ago, I was camping and motorcycle riding and unfortunately found myself in an accident and consequently I developed a stroke. I had about a month of hospitalization and five months of rehabilitation. By the way, psychologists make terrible patients. I came out of that experience with a newfound appreciation for life and compassion for my fellow patients. I truly have a better understanding of what it means to have my identity taken away and rebounding into being a survivor and even a thriver. Using humor, modesty, and strong rapport, I connect with my patients easily. I bring my many experiences with me in my work as a psychologist to promote resilience.

On a personal note, I am married and have two amazing adult children. When I am not being a psychologist, I enjoy woodworking projects, camping, being outdoors, and collecting experiences with my family.
