Rebecca "Becki" Belleman, MA, LPCC
Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate
Moving through life comes with unique challenges we may not know how to face or the direction we should go; however, there are no rules that say we must go it alone. Amidst the challenges, we have all felt alone, isolated and fearful of seeing what steps are necessary to find mental and emotional stability. For some, it causes an upside-down turtle perception. That
perception makes us feel trapped in our shell, waiting for life to turn us right side up, the protective shell also keeping us in the shadows, holding us captive. My desire is to provide an environment that promotes growth, healing, and a way to live outside of your shell, while going at your pace and on your terms.
Although I have lived in Colorado for quite some time, I was born and raised in Louisiana until I was 20-years-old. I traveled for a bit before settling in Colorado Springs and meeting my husband, who has been in the military for 23-years, most of that time spent with 10th Special Forces. His career has allowed me to meet people from all over the world. It also means I know
first-hand how being a military spouse impacts autonomy. As a military spouse, it can be difficult to have an identity apart from your spouse, their career, and the challenges of being the sole parent during deployments. Our daughters have also had to live a military lifestyle and have faced their own transition challenges along the way. My family's military service has resulted in my finding, and promoting, unique self-care routines that have carried us through the nuances of military life.
My journey through life has brought me to Barber Family Counseling & Wellness. My hope is to share with you what I found along the way as you walk through your journey in life. I am an avid card player, volunteer, and karaoke singer who loves spending time with my family and friends.
