Adia Guidry, BS
Master in Marriage & Family Therapy Intern
I believe that every person’s story is meaningful and deserves to be heard in a safe, tranquil environment. That’s why I’m dedicated to offering a space where you can feel secure and supported as you explore and heal from your experiences. Starting therapy can be daunting, but in my view, it’s one of the bravest steps you can take. Uncovering and understanding your own story is a powerful act of self-compassion and courage. By embracing your story, both the pain and the strength within it, you empower yourself to move closer to your goals and create the life you truly want.
My counseling approach starts with taking the time to build a compassionate and supportive therapeutic relationship by getting to know your unique story. I believe it’s crucial not only to listen but to deeply understand your experiences. During sessions, I use a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to fit your individual needs and circumstances. Whether you want to explore and process your emotions, manage anxiety or negative thoughts, or address unresolved trauma, we’ll work together to create a personalized plan that aligns with your personality, therapy timeline, and goals. I am dedicated to offering the guidance necessary to help you move forward.
A little about me, I have experience with the joys and challenges of marriage, having been married for 17 years. My husband and I are raising three children, along with our energetic Weimaraner. As a military spouse of 14 years, I have a deep understanding of military life and a genuine passion for supporting that community. Outside of my family life, I have a love for the ocean, Jamaican cuisine, music, and art. I’ve also had the pleasure of illustrating two children’s books and hope to offer art therapy in the future.
